We know this can be especially<\/div><div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x7 pg-1hc pg-1y4f pg-1ff5 pg-1fs9 pg-1fc6 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">true for our young people who have grown up in the care that\u2019s why we created our Semi Independent Living Service. The service provides accommodation, care and tailored support to help young people leaving care aged 16 to 18 years prepare for independent living and learn valuable life skills at their own pace<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1ea7d58 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1ea7d58\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">About the service<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5bc1048 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5bc1048\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x7 pg-1hc pg-1y4e pg-1ff5 pg-1fs9 pg-1fc6 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\"><div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x7 pg-1hc pg-1y55 pg-1ff5 pg-1fs9 pg-1fc6 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">Our homes, provides young care leavers will have their own rooms, communal areas and a shared<\/div><div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x7 pg-1hc pg-1y56 pg-1ff5 pg-1fs9 pg-1fc6 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">kitchen. rust staff provide round the clock (24\/7) on-site support, as well as running a life skills programme which includes guidance around general housekeeping, healthy eating, gardening, money management and social interaction.<\/div><div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x7 pg-1hc pg-1y5a pg-1ff5 pg-1fs9 pg-1fc6 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">Young people also undertake other programmes that have been co-designed by our care leavers including \u2018Keys to my future\u2019 and \u2018Keys to my employment\u2019. We also use volunteers, the volunteers know the area well and the people who live there. They can help link people into the opportunities in the area as well as warn them about any concerns.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x7 pg-1hc pg-1y60 pg-1ff5 pg-1fs9 pg-1fc6 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">We know that the community has a lot to offer the people that we support and that they have a lot to offer the community.
